BLACKBURN Rovers striker Rudy Gestede has been given the all clear after he was knocked unconscious in today's 4-2 win at Huddersfield Town.
Gestede spent several minutes prone on the floor following an aerial challenge with Terriers captain Peter Clarke before being stretchered off and taken to hospital.
But Rovers boss Bowyer has confirmed this evening that Gestede has done no serious damage.
Bowyer, who also lost Jason Lowe to an ankle injury which required the midfielder to leave the ground wearing a protective boot, said: “Rudy is out of hospital and all the scans are clear, which is great news.”
After the match, which saw Rovers end their three-game losing run, Bowyer was quick to praise fourth official Ross Joyce for spotting the incident.
Bowyer said: “I have to say that the fourth official was absolutely outstanding because the referee had missed it and the fourth official hadn't.
“He acted quickly and we’ve got to thank him for that because he helped us massively to get Dave Fevre and the doc on quickly.”
