BLESSED Trinity got that winning feeling in their first ever girls’ rugby fixtures.
The Year Seven and Eight girls competed in the North Lancashire Emerging Schools Rugby Festival at Blackburn RUFC.
And it was a try-fest for the Under 13 Blessed Trinity girls as they touched down more than 15 times, overcoming Unity College in Burnley and Ormskirk school.
Rugby teacher Alex Isherwood said: “It was a great start for the girls. Three of the girls do represent Lancashire but, for some, it was their first competitive games of rugby so we are extremely proud.”
Blessed Trinity will now go on to the North West Finals to be held at Broughton Park in Manchester.
