ENGLAND Schools U18s warmed up for next month’s international at Ewood Park with two impressive friendly victories.
England, managed by QEGS teacher Andy Buckingham, beat a Shrewsbury Town FC team 7-1 and Wolves U17s 4-1 at its training camp at Lilleshall.
The squad includes former Ribblesdale High School pupil Charlie Russell who turned in an impressive display against Wolves.
Michael Hampson, a student at Myerscough College, was on target against Shrewsbury.
England kick off the Centenary Shield campaign against Wales in Wrexham on Friday, March 14.
They play Scotland at Ewood Park on Friday, April 11 (ko 7pm).
Ewood Park last hosted a Centenary Shield fixture in 2007, when England took on Northern Ireland.
