FULL-TIME Bolton 4 Rovers 0.
The Bolton sub rounds off a truly shocking afternoon for Rovers as he beats Paul Robinson from 25 yards.
GOAL 4-0 Bolton. Andre Moritz. 90 mins.
SUB for Bolton. Andre Moritz on, Neil Danns off. 85 mins.
Joe Mason slices an effort just wide for Bolton. 82 mins. 3-0.
SUB for Bolton. Chung-Young Lee on, Mark Davies off. 77 mins. 3-0.
SUB for Rovers. Todd Kane on for Matt Kilgallon. Visitors now have ZERO recognised centre-backs on the field. 73 mins. 3-0.
Rudy Gestede heads wide from Tommy Spurr long throw-in. 72 mins. 3-0.
Attendance is 17,541 (2,743 away).
Big chance for Rovers to get back into it but Jordan Rhodes misses it. The stand-in skipper spread the ball out wide to Markus Olsson and got back in the box to meet the left-back's cross. But the striker headed in an inch past the post. 63 mins. 3-0.
So nearly 4-0, excellent Neil Danns robs the ball off sub Corry Evans, advances and then plays in Lukas Jotkiewicz, who drags a right-footed effort just past the post. 58 mins. 3-0.
Zat Knight nods Jay Spearing corner wide. Paul Robinson had it covered. 52 mins. 3-0.
BOOKED Mark Davies for Bolton. 51 mins. 3-0.
Jay Spearing with a superb 25-yard shot which came back off the underside of the bar and was adjudged to have crossed the line.
It took a while to give it, though, as Bolton initally attempted to turn in the rebound.
The linesman awarded it - and from here it looked a good decision.
GOAL 3-0 Bolton. Jay Spearing. 47 mins.
Second half is under way. Rovers have made two changes. Lee Williamson and Chris Taylor are off, Luke Varney and Corry Evans are on.
HALF-TIME Bolton 2 Rovers 0.
Joe Mason may have made a hash of that chance moments ago but he makes no mistake after Rovers fail to clear their lines, dragging a shot from just inside the area past Paul Robinson and in at the far post.
GOAL 2-0 Bolton. Joe Mason. 45 mins.
Paul Robinson saves Rovers big style. Lee Williamson caught on the ball in midfield and his robbed by Jay Spearing, who plays Joe Mason clear through on goal. But the on-loan Cardiff City striker's first effort is saved by Robinson, and his second - a more difficult chance - went wide. Massive let-off for the visitors. 42 mins. 1-0.
Lively Neil Danns cuts inside and fires in a fierce left-footed drive that Paul Robinson parries away. Power on it nearly knocked the Rovers keeper off his feet. 38 mins. 1-0.
Tremendous effort from fully 30 yards from Markus Olsson. The ball was worked across the park to the left-back, who ambitious effort drifted just over Adam Bogdan's cross bar. 1-0. 32 mins.
It is the first goal Rovers have conceded in 314 minutes of football.
After Rovers' best spell of the game, the hosts - who started like a house on fire - take the lead through a Medo header, the midfielder stooping low to divert a cross from Neil Danns - after he turned Adam Henley inside out - back across Paul Robinson and into the back of the net.
GOAL 1-0 Bolton. 23 mins.
Much better from Rovers, who are really coming into this game. Craig Conway scampers away down the left before cutting back inside and sending over an inviting cross which Rudy Gestede should have got a head to. 19 mins. 0-0.
Another good save from Adam Bogdan, this time denying Jordan Rhodes. Jason Lowe played a good ball over the top which Zat Knight could only nod into the path of Rovers stand-in skipper Rhodes, who controlled it and forced a stop out of the Bolton keeper. Frantic stuff. 17 mins. 0-0.
Stunning save from Adam Bogdan denies Markus Olsson. The left-back was involved in the move which led to the chance - and which fell to him after Craig Conway's cross was only half-cleared. Olsson arched a first-time effort toward goal which Bogdan did brilliantly to palm aside. 13 mins. 0-0.
Quite brilliant goal-line block by Matt Kilgallon denies a certain Bolton goal to Mark Davies who in the space on the left, drifts past Adam Henley and fires in a shot that beat Paul Robinson - but not the covering centre-back. 10 mins. 0-0.
BOOKED Before that save Rovers striker Rudy Gestede was cautioned for a soft foul on Zat Knight.
Good save Paul Robinson, back-pedalling to turn a deflected Neil Danns drive past the post. Strong start from Bolton. 6 mins. 0-0.
Medo's free kick deflected wide for a corner, from which Tim Ream's header went way over. 4 mins. 0-0.
We aee under way and Bolton have a free kick 20 yards from goal. 3 mins. 0-0.
The teams are:
Bolton: Bogdan, Baptiste, Knight, Wheater, Ream, Spearing, Medo, Davies, Danns, Mason, Jutkiewicz. Subs: Lonergan, Hutton, Hall, Eagles, Chung-Yong, Moritz, Trotter.
Rovers: Robinson, Henley, Kilgallon, Spurr, Olsson, Taylor, Lowe, Williamson, Conway, Rhodes, Gestede. Subs: Eastwood, Kane, Varney, Dabo, Lenihan, Evans, Rittenberg.
Bolton have also been forced to make two changes to the team which started their 2-0 home triumph over Watford last Saturday.
Zat Knight and Neil Danns replace the injured Matt Mills and Darren Pratley.
Rovers will be without both captain Grant Hanley and star midfielder Tom Cairney.
And in a further blow for Rovers boss Gary Bowyer, who was already without Josh King and Ben Marshall, David Dunn is not fit enough to take his place on the bench after picking up a minor injury after last Saturday’s vital 1-0 victory at Reading.
But it is hoped that Dunn, along with Hanley, who has a calf problem, and Cairney, who hurt his ankle against Reading, will return for next Sunday’s East Lancashire derby at home to Burnley.
Skipper Hanley’s absence means Bowyer has just one fit and available centre-back in Matt Kilgallon.
Kilgalon will be joined in the heart of the Rovers defence by Tommy Spurr.
Ever-present Spurr’s position at left-back will be taken by Markus Olsson, for whom it will be his first league start of the season.
Chris Taylor comes in for Cairney.
Top-scorer Jordan Rhodes will captain Rovers.
Midfielder Darragh Lenihan, 20, and striker Dean Rittenberg, 17, have been named on Bowyer’s bench.
