The Accrington & District Junior Football League which was formed in 1958 is actively seeking new members to join its Executive Committee.

The League has been successfully providing young people with a regular game of organised football for over half a century.

The League currently provides football in ten different age categories ranging from Under 7’s to Under 16’s.

League President, Stephen Lee, said “over the years the League has been blessed with a number of outstanding and long serving committee members”.

“Unfortunately, a number of those long serving members are now choosing to take a much deserved retirement which leaves a number of vacancies on the committee”.

“This includes the current League Secretary, Alan Greenwood (above), who has given a magnificent 22 years service and will be most difficult to replace”.

“Alan has been instrumental in the growth of the League from three age categories to today’s ten age categories”.

There are a number of positions available.

Anyone interested in joining the League committee, in any capacity, is asked to contact Stephen for an informal discussion on 01254 387805 or 07813 208192
