MILL Hill Red fired a warning shot to their Accrington and District Junior Boys' title rivals (Under-12) with another sparkling away performance.

Red coasted to a 2-0 win over Greyhound Juniors, and having played fewer games than leaders Whalley Juniors and Mill Hill White, who sit second in the table, Red are in the hunt for championship glory.

In the other fixture, Clitheroe Wolves edged out Feniscowles and Pleasington 5-4 in a real thriller.

There was a shock in the Under-10 (Black) League as leaders East Lancashire JFC crashed 4-2 to a slick Crown Paints side.

However, second-placed Rishton United made no mistake, a 3-1 win over Clitheroe Wolves moving them level on points with East Lancs.

Huncoat United White are also going great guns and they bolstered third place with a 2-1 victory over Langho Lions. In the Under-10s (White) Wilpshire Wanderers kept hold of top spot with a 3-1 victory over Clitheroe Wolves Red, while Oswaldtwistle St Mary's crushed bottom club Huncoat United Black 6-1. Padiham Saints were also in tip-top shape, cruising to a 5-1 win at Huncoat United in the Under-11 League.

The big winners were hot-shots Fulledge Colts, overhelming Ossie St Mary's 9-1 (Under-13) In the Under 14's League, second-placed Feniscowles and Pleasington defeated Rossendale United 2-0, but Fulledge Colts look set to lift the title, opening up a twelve point gap at the summit with a 4-0 victory over Badgers FC.

Huncoat United Black ran out 6-2 winners over Brierfield Celtic Red (Under-15), while Huncoat United White were also in the winning groove, beating Brierfield Celtic White 3-1.

Greyhound Juniors edged out Whalley Juniors 2-1.

There was just one fixture played in the senior league (Under-16), Rishton running out easy 4-0 winners against Huncoat United.
