CHORLEY will be bidding to move six points clear at the top of the Evo-Stik Premier Division when they host Rushall Olympic tonight.

Garry Flitcroft’s Magpies saw their lead cut to three points on Saturday after they drew 1-1 at Grantham Town and second-placed Skelmersdale beat Whitby Town.

But Chorley play one of their two games in hand on Skelmersdale tonight and have the opportunity to take a commanding lead at the top of the table.

Rushall Olympic, based in the suburbs of Walsall in the West Midlands, sit 10th in the Premier Division but scored six goals after half time to thrash Mark Atkins’ Matlock Town 6-1 on Saturday.

In First Division North, Ramsbottom United can consolidate their position in the play-offs when they host Ossett Town.

Ramsbottom sit fifth in the table and are the division’s top scorers with 82 goals in 29 games.

They entertain an Ossett side who sit eighth in the table and will be attempting to close the seven-point gap to their opponents.

Clitheroe, who sit 13th in the table after a 2-0 loss at Wakefield at the weekend, are at home to 17th-placed New Mills.
