Waterfoot's Kristan Bromley and Dom Parsons both claimed top 10 finishes for British Skeleton at the Sanki Sliding Centre in Sochi this afternoon.

Parsons, making his Olympic debut, went into day two in joint 10th and moved up a position after clocking exactly 57 seconds in the third heat.

That meant the vastly experienced Bromley dropped down to 10th, having started the day in joint eighth. His time of 57.17secs was the 12th quickest in heat three.

Bromley - who finished fifth at the 2006 Games in Turin and sixth four years ago - was much quicker in heat four and hit a top speed of 127.3 km/h as he clocked 56.74 for a combined time of 3mins 48.17.

Parsons enjoyed a great start to his final run but could not maitain the pace and, despite clocking 56.96 for his fastest time of the week, he dropped two places to finish tenth behind his compatriot, who was eighth.
