Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer given one-match touchline ban by FA

Lancashire Telegraph: Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer given one-match touchline ban by FA Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer given one-match touchline ban by FA

BLACKBURN Rovers boss Gary Bowyer will be banned from watching his side’s Championship clash at Reading from the touchline after he admitted an FA misconduct charge.

Bowyer has also been fined £3,000 as punishment for his conduct after Rovers’ 2-2 draw at Barnsley on January 28.

A statement from the FA read: “Gary Bowyer will serve a one-match touchline ban with immediate effect after he admitted an FA misconduct charge.

“The Blackburn Rovers manager was charged with using language and/or behaviour in or around the tunnel and/or dressing room area at the end the game against Barnsley on 28 January 2014 which amounted to improper conduct.

“Bowyer, who requested a personal hearing, was also fined £3,000.”

Bowyer questioned referee Sebastian Stockbridge’s decision to award the penalty from which Barnsley scored their equaliser to earn a point.

Replays proved the officials got it wrong but Bowyer, on reflection, conceded emotion got the better of him.

“I wasn’t happy with myself,” said Bowyer, who will now have to watch the match at Reading on Saturday week from the stands.

What a clown Bowyer is, Blackburn Rovers continue to stumble from one disaster to the next. Your slim-to-none chance of scraping the play-off's rest with a must win game against 6th place Reading and where is your manager? Is he screaming at the players from the touchline, is he bellowing essential instructions and motivating his team to up their game? No, he's sat in the stand while poor old Rovers have their backsides panned once again.

What a shambles.

Bowyer did the right thing. If it wasn't for managers criticising/question
ing referees then nobody would. He certainly won't get criticised by his employers or by the media for his ineptitude. Should he be allowed to get away with it for costing a team 2 points? Having spent circa £50, taken a day off work and travelled in bleak conditions only to be robbed in that manner I would have done the same.

Its no coincidence that this Sebastian Stockbridge has only refereed one (yes one) Championship match this season. No doubt the clowns at the League thought they would 'try him out' at Barnsley v Blackburn away from the glare of the media. He'll be back on Torquay or Dagenham next week now he's had a shot at a bigger league and made a mess of it.

That strange man down the road (what is that ginger goatee all about?) has blamed the referee time after time this season. Looks like Bowyer isn't the only one!

No, actually, as Jose Mourinho recently said about his unbeaten Premier League home record, when the record goes I will celebrate.

Celebrate an achievement that will never again be matched in a derby game in English football. Celebrate three and a half decades (at least) of complete and utter dominance in what has become the most one-sided derby game in English football.

When the record does eventually go I will have nothing to be ashamed of. I will be proud of my clubs glorious run. It will be the freaks from Burnley that should be embarrassed that it has taken their tin pot outfit so long and so many chances to beat Blackburn Rovers on a football pitch. Its laughable really.

and yet 24/7 you compare 16 points to 35 years unbeaten (due to years being at least 1 division higher) 2 major trophies (not from 600 years ago) and the double-double victory seasons, one of which included the most humiliating 7-0 aggregate thrashing in the history of humiliating thrashings (sparking a crazed town centre wrecking spree - on your own town!)

And Jack Walkers £100million+ doesn't factor into any of that does it. What an arrogant moron you really are.

10 wins in 14 CONSECUTIVE league games, beat that. You can't can you. Never mind.

16 points is all that matters. 16 massive points that could well be 19 massive points on Saturday and the Clarets 6 points clear of 3rd place.

Keep looking up, you must be used to it by now!

Put your dummy back in and stand on the naughty step, there's a good boy.

Now try to grasp that any arrogance is probably understandable given your complete and utter obsession with Rovers.

Just how many of these 14 consecutive league games you keep dragging up from 50odd years ago did you actually attend?

None. Zero. Never seen Burnley win anything of any importance have you? - never ever.
Never seen the mighty clarets (ha ha ha) win a trophy & never seen 'em win a derby. You've been the unfortunate victim of being 2nd best. One of lifes losers. And look at you now, 16 points above your tormentors & your like a pig in sh*t.

It's no wonder you are like you are you poor waster.

I think you need help before it's too late.

Seriously, if Burnley fail to win yet another derby, or worse still, get another good hiding, make sure you post on here then we know you've not self harmed.... or worse

I notice you dodge the important points yet again. You're good at that.

All that matters is that you are now back where you belong, and as the history books will confirm, your rightful place is looking up at Burnley FC. Order has now been restored following a minor blip.

Blackburn Rovers have not won the league fair and square since 1914.

Burnley won the league in 1960. We then proceeded to dominate Rovers for many, many seasons.

The big question is how will you and your kind cope should Burnley turn you over at Ewood Park on the 9th of March?
