ACCRINGTON Stanley will aim to pull off yet another FA Youth Cup upset when they travel to Reading in the last 16 tonight.

Stanley face the Royals at the Madejski Stadium at 7pm, with a home quarter final against Liverpool or Watford the prize for the winners.

The Reds are the only League Two team left in the competition and have already shocked West Ham and Bristol City, despite selling young star teenager Connor Mahoney to Blackburn Rovers.

Max Hazeldine scored a hat-trick against Bristol City, having also netted against West Ham.

Stanley academy manager Keith Brown said: “It’s already a great achievement to get as far as we have and the players have worked hard.

“It will be a difficult game against Reading but it’s good to test yourself against these kinds of sides, that’s the only way you’ll learn.

“With the teams we’ve already beaten we don’t fear anyone.

“We might not have the money of the big clubs here but we do what we can and the staff work very hard.

“Connor Mahoney is a player who can go all the way and we identified that early on, but we have other good players here.

“Max Hazeldine has done well and we have a number of good players at under 18 level and at the younger ages too, which is great for the club.

“Our philosophy is to have a winning mentality but also to focus on development.

“All the way through the academy our players play the same way.”
