ENTRIES are now being taken for the annual Fosters Golden Cue snooker competition.

Some of the best snooker players from Burnley and the surrounding area will contest the competition which will again be fought out on small and large tables.

This year’s competition will again follow last year’s format with the winner of the small table and large table events playing each other in a grand final.

There will be more than £1,000 in prize money up for grabs – including highest break prizes and individual prize money for quarter finalists onwards.

Last year, Brian Collinge, the small table winner, was crowned overall champion after beating large table winner Jonathan Clark in the final.

Entry fee is £5. Entry forms and rules aviailable from Ighten Leigh Social Club and the Pendle Kitchens Burnley & District Snooker League web site.
