THE Commonwealth Games could be cut from 17 to 10 sports to keep the event alive beyond 2018, according to a leading Games official.

That would be just about typical, the sports involved are what we should be pushing rather than concentrating on the ‘bigger’ events.

And now it seems as though core sports are also going to suffer because they are not deemed ‘sexy’ enough for the powers that be.
