BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche had mixed feelings after his side claimed a 3-3 draw at second-placed QPR – but had chances to win the game.
QPR secured a point thanks to Modibo Maiga’s 79th-minute equaliser after a goal from Danny Ings and a brace from strike partner Sam Vokes had put the Clarets 3-2 up.
Ings even had a chance to make it 4-2 but Dyche was happy with his side’s display, which kept them third in the Championship table – three points behind QPR.
“We go to win every game and that was absolutely evident today,” said the Clarets boss.
“It was a great performance. That’s a great marker for us, to take four points off the pre-seson favourites, arguably the market leaders.
“We’ve earned the right to be where we are.”
