THE bad weather was the winner on Saturday as all of the scheduled games in the Greenbank Motor Company falling victim to the weather.

The total wipeout followed on from the previous Saturday when the bulk of games were also casualties of the rain.

League chiefs will be hoping for a change in conditions this Saturday as the calendar clicks over into February with a full programme of fixtures scheduled.

Only one game beat the weather in the Accrington Combination and that came in Division Two where Globe Bullough Park beat Water 5-1.

Saturday sees the semi-final of the Mason Cup with Water looking to recover from that loss when they play Padiham Town.

That game will go ahead as it is being played on the 3G pitch at Accrington Academy.

All matches in the Blackburn Combination also fell victim to the weather.

Meanwhile, the weather has also struck the Lancashire Football Association.

The county authority was set to stage a unday League Trophy semi-final between Acregate and Littleborough at Clitheroe FC’s Shawbridge tonight.

But that game has fallen victim to the weather following a pitch inspection yesterday morning.

Officials had little option other than to call the game off with the pitch heavy and more bad weather forecast.

The game will now take place next Tuesday night at Shawbridge.
