BLACKBURN Rovers will be without captain Scott Dann and top-scorer Jordan Rhodes for tonight’s FA Cup third-round replay at Manchester City.

Dann (groin) and Rhodes (foot) have both travelled to the Etihad Stadium.

But minor knocks mean they are unable to take their place in Gary Bowyer’s matchday squad.

Rovers boss Bowyer has replaced Dann with Matt Kilgallon and Rhodes with DJ Campbell.

Bowyer, like in the initial 1-1 tie between the teams at Ewood Park, will operate a 4-5-1 formation.

That means Chris Taylor is recalled in place of striker Rudy Gestede.

Rovers, who will be captained by Grant Hanley, have named 16-year-old Connor Mahoney on a bench which also includes Ruben Rochina.

Rochina is in talks with La Liga strugglers Rayo Vallecano over a proposed loan move until the end of the season.

City, chasing an unprecedented quadruple and on a 10-match winning run at home, have made eight changes to the side which started their 2-0 win at Newcastle United on Sunday.

Sergio Aguero, having recovered from a calf injury, is on their bench.

Rovers: Robinson, Henley, Kilgallon, Hanley, Spurr, Cairney, Lowe, Taylor, Williamson, Marshall, Campbell. Subs: Eastwood, King, Dunn, Olsson, Rochina, Mahoney, Gestede.
