BLACKBURN Rovers manager Gary Bowyer says there has been no official approach for his captain Scott Dann – or for any of his players.

Dann is wanted by Crystal Palace and reports have suggested that the Premier League new boys are willing to pay up to £3m for the Rovers skipper if he agrees to Palace’s wage structure.

But Bowyer said: “Nothing has come in in writing for any of our players. Until then it’s just pure speculation.”

New Palace boss Tony Pulis has refused to discuss his interest in Dann.

Pulis said: “I’ve been linked with 40 players – you get linked all the time.

“If we do our business I’m sure once it’s done you can ask me about it.

“I’ve got a list of players and the chairman has got the list of players.

“We need to do it. We need to get deals done if we’re going to push on.”

Bowyer must sell before he can buy after signing Tom Cairney and Rudy Gestede for a combined £800,000.

But that has not stopped him drawing up a list of potential targets.

Bowyer added: “If somebody comes along to aid the squad and make us better then that is something we’d go to the owners with – once we have moved one or two out.”

Meanwhile, Rovers academy graduates John O’Sullivan and Kellen Daly have joined Skrill Premier strugglers Southport, managed by former Accrington Stanley boss John Coleman, on one-month loan deals.

Neither has made a first-team appearance for Rovers this season.
