Blackburn Rovers v Manchester City tickets will not be on sale on day of game

BLACKBURN Rovers have been advised by police that all tickets for Saturday's FA Cup third-round clash at home to Manchester City must be purchased by close of business tomorrow (Friday).

Tickets, therefore, will not be on sale on the day of the game.

Tickets are now on sale to Rovers fans with a database history.

They cost between £15 and £25 for adults, £10 and £22 for seniors, £5 and £10 for juniors, and £12 for students in the wings of the Jack Walker Stand only.

The upper tier of the Blackburn End will be closed for the match while the Darwen End will be for City supporters only.

City have sold out their entire allocation, just under 7,500 tickets.

So the police are running the club, you could not make it up, you will do as we tell you , you will close the upper tier of the blackburn end and you will sell tickets when WE tell you. Just like the stupid way they run the rovers burnley games, having to be herded in like cattle fodder 4 hours before a game
Seems to me they want everthing their own way, you will do what WE say.

Can't for the life of me understand why Rovers would want to leave 3,000 empty seats in the Family Stand, stopping all budding young footballers to watch world class player's not seen at Ewood for many a year. Surely the police are not afraid of all parents / kids from the upper tier causing serious disorder with the City fans or is it something more sinister. Shame on the Police / Rovers for making the once proud club a laughing stock.

Maybe the police would be better getting there on house in order instead of interfering in how football clubs are run. Shame for those supporters who work late and will not be able to puchase a ticket Saturday.

Didn't Burnley close the upper tiers for the Preston game? It fills up the lower ones and makes the ground look fuller for tv,

I would prefer that to the seventies. The fans have brought it upon themselves. I don't see police turning out at pensioners conventions or childrens pantomimes. Do you?
