Jubilee Brig has not been beaten far in his last couple of starts but his time can finally come in the Ladbrokes Handicap at Lingfield.

Gary Moore’s charge has proved equally adept at trips of five, six and seven furlongs and it is the longer distance he tackles here.

The three-year-old showed he could handle the extra furlong when second over seven at Wolverhampton, enduring a luckless passage before finishing off his race well.

Again he did not enjoy an ideal passage at Kempton last time, having to settle for sixth after being shuffled back when the race began in earnest.

Jubilee Brig was beaten just over two lengths on that occasion, rallying well before just falling short, and he remains on a mark of 77 after that effort.

That appears to be a perfectly workable perch and Jubilee Brig can sign off 2013 in style, granted a touch of luck in running.

Swehan is clearly not one of the leading lights for Kevin Ryan but should be good enough in the first divison of the Download The Ladbrokes App Handicap.

He finally came good at the fourth time of asking when landing a 10-furlong maiden at Lingfield last time, staying on well to win by just over a length.

Swehan drops back to a mile here and while that trip perhaps looked a touch on the short side when third back in November, Ryan’s runner did not get the run of things that day and is worth another chance.

Alderley impressed in winning her maiden last time and is well worth a shot as she makes her debut for Martyn Meade in the 32Red Nursery Handicap.

Previously trained by Jamie Osborne, the Three Valleys filly clearly learnt for her unplaced debut as she stepped up to strike gold at Wolverhampton in October.

She came with a fine run from well off the pace that day and an initial mark of 70 could prove reasonably generous as Alderley can be rated a little better than the official margin of three-quarters of a length.

Tickity Bleue can make it second time lucky in the EBF Stallions Mares’ ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle at Warwick.

Alan King’s charge was a useful performer in bumper company back in 2012 but was then off the track for nearly 600 days before returning to action at Uttoxeter last month.

Beaten 14 lengths into fourth, Tickity Bleue turned in a creditable effort in defeat and was clearly in need of a sharpener after such a lengthy period on the sidelines.

She should improve for that outing and is one to stay on the right side of.

Venetia Williams’ team are in fine form and Samurai Way can keep up the good work in the 32Red Handicap Chase.

The 10-year-old has made the frame in each of his two outings so far this term after returning from a season on the sidelines.

He remains lightly raced for a horse of his age and clearly retains plenty of ability despite his advancing years.

Batu Ferringhi will try to get his campaign back on track in the 32Red Novices’ Handicap Chase at Uttoxeter.

He blotted his copybook on his chasing bow when unseating his rider at the first at Warwick earlier this month.

Having warmed up for the task with a hurdles win at Ffos Las, he was not unfancied for what was a modest heat but he blundered at the opening obstacle and that was the end of his challenge.

Rated 117 over hurdles, he is certainly not a potential world-beater for Jamie Snowden but this does appear to be well within his compass.

Di Kaprio has gone well on his last couple of outings at this track and another decent run is expected in the £32 Bonus At 32Red.com Handicap Hurdle.

He made every yard of the running to claim a near two-length victory last time, atoning for a previous narrow defeat in the process.

Previously successful over this near two-mile-five-furlong trip in June as well, Di Kaprio is still some way off his career-high mark of 128 and there is clearly room for manoeuvre on his current perch.
