Brian Collinge (Snooker)
Brian Collinge won the prestigious Foster’s Golden Cue snooker title in front of a packed crowd at Ighten Leigh SC.
Collinge, who won the small table title, was up against large table champion Jonathan Clark to find out who woul be overall champion. And Collinge took the honours.
Mohammed Zubair Bashir (Sports volunteer)
MOHAMMED gives up hours of his own time to help others. He has helped deliver sports sessions from nursery school bike riding and primary school coaching to disabilty sport at Pendle Leisure Centre.
He won a national award for his efforts.
Don’t Dis-Ability (Boccia)
THE club gives disabled adults and children the chance to participate in sports.
All those involved get the chance to develop their sporting skills and the knock-on effect is their confidence has grown working with some fantastic coaches
