HULL City boss Steve Bruce says a deal is yet to agreed with Blackburn Rovers for Tom Cairney.
The midfielder is currently on loan at Rovers until January 2 but Gary Bowyer has made it clear is keen to retain Cairney.
The player has also said he would be happy to stay at Ewood Park as he seeks regular football, and Cairney has only six months left on his contract at the KC Stadium.
But Rovers have so far been unable to secure a permanent deal, with Hull now saying that a bid has been turned down.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, however, Bruce did not close the door on a deal being reached at his pre-match press conference, saying: āIām sure negotiations will be ongoing.ā
