SAM Ashton saved three penalties as Chorley claimed a shock shoot-out win at Skrill Premier side Forest Green Rovers in the second round of the FA Trophy.
The Magpies secured a 0-0 draw after 120 minutes in the replay, after Saturday's original tie at Victory Park had also finished goalless.
Regular penalty taker Josh Hine missed Chorley's first attempt in the shoot-out, but former FC United cup star Ashton was the hero once more as he saved three spot kicks to secure a 3-1 victory.
Garry Flitcroft's side now face an away trip to another Skrill Premier outfit, Tamworth, in the third round on January 11.
