I HAVE no concerns over Blackburn Rovers going into tomorrow’s home game Millwall.

Some might say everything that has happened this week with DJ Campbell could distract the players.

But I think they will be fine.

It all came out early in the week so the players and the manager will have had long enough – four or five days – to let the news sink in.

All their thoughts now will be on Millwall and building on their excellent point and performance at QPR.

I thought they played very, very well and should have won the game given the chances they had.

But Rovers now have to follow that up with a good result over Millwall – it’s imperative they get the three points.

At the start of the season you look at the fixtures and you would always say Millwall at home is a winnable game.

But it’s even more so given Millwall’s away form.

That said, I don’t think many people would have expected Rovers to get anything from QPR.

The work rate Rovers put into the game was unbelievable.

Every player worked very, very hard and gave everything for the team.

They all put a real shift in. Every player played well – it was a great team performance.

But if I had to pick one player out it would be the goalkeeper, Simon Eastwood.

He hardly had anything to do all game and then he pulled off that brilliant save.

Okay it hit him in the face but it was still a great save.

It’s hard for a keeper when they’re not involved in a game for long periods like Simon was on Saturday.

So for him to stay so alert was really impressive. He did a great job on his debut.

After that performance he has to keep his place for Millwall.

I just can’t see how Gary Bowyer can drop him. He looked commanding and he looked confident.

Here’s hoping he can keep another clean sheet tomorrow and help Rovers to three more points.
