PADIHAM bid to continue their flying start to the month when they travel to Mossley in the Evo-Stik League First Division North tomorrow.

After losing five straight games in November, Steve Wilkes’ side made the perfect start to December last weekend when they won a five-goal thriller at home to Northwich Victoria.

The win lifted Padiham up to 18th ahead of the trip to a mid-table Mossley team who sit five points above them in 13th.

Seventh-placed Clitheroe will attempt to return to winning ways at home to 11th-placed Salford City tomorrow.

Eighth-placed Ramsbottom United host second-from-bottom Wakefield.

The in-form Rams will be hot favourites after going on an 11-game unbeaten league run, taking 27 points from the last 33 on offer.

After a two-week break Barnoldswick Town return to North West Counties League Premier Division action at Ashton Athletic tomorrow.

Buoyed by their basement battle victory at Winsford United last weekend, Bacup & Rossendale Borough entertain a Bootle side who are looking for a new manager after Neil Prince quit.

Three points at home to lowly Daisy Hill tomorrow would move second-placed Nelson top of the First Division.
