Burnley face Southampton trip in FA Cup

CHAMPIONSHIP leaders Burnley will travel to Premier League surprise package Southampton in the third round of the FA Cup.

The clash, which will take place on the first weekend in January will see the Clarets come up against their former striker Jay Rodriguez who left Turf Moor for St Mary's in 2012.

The Clarets will also face former players Danny Fox and Jack Cork who are both now at Southampton.

A date and ticket prices for the fixture will be announced at a later date.

Sad to say, but I can't see us getting a win. However, if we can draw and get a return game at the Turf, bets are off.

Tuff place to go , only 2 wins in 23 away games to the scummers.

If we get beat then so be it if it means we can maintain our chances of staying in the top two for the remaining league fixtures.

Typical FA Cup draw for us. A long trip to a very difficult game and a very unglamorous one at that. If we are still at or near the top in January Dyche should consider sending the reserves to avoid injuries. A rubbish draw.
