COLNE United had a day to forget in the Greenbank Motor Company East Lancashire Football League as their two teams conceded an astonishing 31 goals in their games.
Colne's first team were in Blackburn for their match with Mill Hill and were on the receiving end of a 20-2 loss at Griffin Park.
That is believed to be the heaviest defeat in the history of the East Lancashire League.
The reserves travelled to Rimington - and they too suffered badly, losing 11-1.
