With qualification points for the Commonwealth Games in her sights, Bacup judoka Sophie Cox returned home from the Oceania Open with a bronze medal.
Fighting in the under-57kg weight category, the 31-year-old competed against many players she could face next year in Glasgow.
A half-point throw followed by a hold down for the other half secured an opening win.
After another victory, Cox was caught in hold down in the last 30 seconds of her bout against the eventual winner.
Pitched in a fight for the bronze, Cox produced a Major Outer Hook throw (KoSotoGake) for the medal.
