ACCRINGTON Stanley striker James Gray played for 79 minutes as Northern Ireland under 21s were beaten 3-0 in Italy.
Gray received a booking shortly before being substituted, while Stanley team-mate Shay McCartan – the former Burnley forward – was an unused sub.
Burnley defender Luke Conlan was also on the bench but did not come on.
Northern Ireland now host Cyprus on Tuesday.
