THERE was plenty of good Finishing on the Prairie on Sunday as Railway Club and Ultra Finishing played out an exciting 3-3 draw in the Premier Division.
However, in the end the draw did neither team any favours as victory could have taken them in to second place with St Pauls out of action.
Railway remain in third place, a point behind the Saints while Ultra Finishing are two places and one point behind.
So the big winners, in more ways than one, were Prairie Athletic who have gone three points clear at the top of the table following an emphatic 12-2 victory against Railway Hotel.
In the other game in the division, Thornton Arms beat Barrowford Celtic 4-2. All six teams meet again this Sunday in an immediate reverse of the fixtures. There were goals galore in Division One, 41 scored in just four matches.
Burnley Athletic maintained their 100 per cent record when they made it six out of six as they ran out 6-4 winners against Hare and Hounds.
Incredibly, there were more goals scored in the clash between FC Bacup and Boars Head, 13 in total, as FC Bacup edged a 7-6 victory to climb in to second place. Jolly drop to third after drawing 4-4 with Britannia while Sabden and Stanley Black Cats shared 10 goals in a 5-5 draw.
In Division Two, leaders AFC Weir stamped their authority on the division with an 8-1 win against Glendale to make it six wins out of seven.
General Williams beat Craven Heifer 3-2 to remain in second place, five points behind Weir.
Turf jumped above AFC Booth with a 1-0 win while Longside and AFC Burnley battled out a 1-1 draw.
