2:18pm Wednesday 16th October 2013 in Sport
FORMER Accrington Stanley managing director Rob Heys has confirmed that he has failed in his appeal against a 21-month ban from football for betting offences.
Heys, who has since left his role at Stanley, admitted FA betting offences in August and was handed a lengthy ban from the game.
He appealed against the length of the suspension but the 21-month ban and £1,000 fine have been upheld.
