BURNLEY United clocked up their first home win of their West Lancs Premier Division campaign.

Hot-shots Danny Russell, Steve Riley and and Luke Riley were on the mark in a 3-2 win over Slyne-with-Hest, who saw former Lancaster City marksman Jimmy Love score twice for the visitors from North Lancashire.

Longridge Town went ahead through Rick Coar at Coppull United, but they could not hold on to their first half advantage as Chris Robinson and Adam Dowling scored to give Coppull the points.

Hurst Green are going great guns in Division One, and Danny Walker’s goal on the hour saw them record their fourth away win of the season, this time a 1-0 win at Hesketh Bank.

Mill Hill St Peters were also celebrating, a 2-1 win at Wyre Villa handing them their first league away win.

In Division Two, a double from Eddie Smart and further goals from Mike Robinson and Danny Wade saw Haslingden St Mary’s take the points in Cumbria with a 4-0 success at Barrow Wanderers.

Todmorden Borough and Walney Island shared eight goals, with Ben Whittam, James Hardman, Marco Romero and Chris Kaye on the mark for Borough.

In Division One Reserves, Anthony Taylor’s last minute goal rescued Haslingden St Mary’s after Ben Greenwood’s penalty had put them in front against Charnock Richard as the fixture ended 2-2.

Hurst Green Reserves thrashed Croston Sports 6-2 in Division Two.

Neil Reynolds lead the charge with a hat-trick, while Danny Mort (2) and James Stoddard also weighed in.

Kyle Cotton was on the mark for Mill Hill St Peters, but it was all in vain as Lytham Town ran out 3-1 winners.

Todmorden Borough went down to a narrow 1-0 defeat at Milnthorpe Corinthians.
