Burnley 2 Reading 1
BURNLEY remain top of the Championship table after goals from Danny Ings and Sam Vokes gave them victory over Reading at Turf Moor.
The Clarets moved to top spot with a 2-0 win at Doncaster in midweek and led after only 21 minutes against Reading when Ings celebrated his England under 21 call-up by notching his 11th goal of the season, after Reading had misjudged Kieran Trippier's pass.
Vokes doubled the lead 10 minutes from time as he found the net from a tight angle, although the visitors immediately replied as Pavel Pogrebnyak's header rebounded off defender Jason Shackell for an own goal.
But Burnley were able to see the game out to remain top going into the international break, level on points with second-placed QPR.
