Silverstone is next up for Adam

WHALLEY’S Adam Morgan heads to Silverstone this weekend as the British Touring Car Championship reaches the penultimate stage at the famous Northamptonshire circuit.
Morgan is holding on to seventh place – and third in the independents trophy – and looks almost certain to finish the Championship as one of the top 10 drivers in the land.
Morgan’s previous outing at the super-fast Rockingham Circuit marked a half-century of outings for the Red Rose ace, but was denied a top 10 finish for the first time this term.
“It certainly doesn’t feel like 50 races already, I can’t believe really,” added Morgan.
“I’ve learned an awful lot in that time, that’s for sure.
“My first year was a very steep learning curve about how close contact the British Touring Car Championships can be in the hustle and bustle of races.
“It is an incredibly competitive business and it is all about keeping a cool head.”
Morgan’s target for Silverstone is a hat-trick of top 10 finishes.
So far this season he has hit the top 10 on 17 occasions in 24 starts.
“Hopefully my career still has a long way to go,” he added.
“Consistency is the key, you have to stay in the hunt.
“We want to bounce back from Rockingham and get some good points on the board.”
