Burnley boss hopes for glamour tie
11:25am Wednesday 25th September 2013 in Sport
BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche is hoping for a money-spinning tie when the draw for the last 16 of the League Cup is made tonight.
The Clarets reached the fourth round with a 2-1 home win over Nottingham Forest last night, although the game drew a crowd of only 6,386 at Turf Moor.
Now Dyche is hoping for glamorous Premier League opposition in the next round.
The draw takes place live on Sky Sports after the conclusion of tonight's tie between Manchester United and Liverpool.
"A lot's been made of us balancing the books and you never know that might help if a big side gets pulled out of the hat," he said.
“It's a win-win now. You want to play well, you want to win a game, you might get a few quid, you might pull someone not as big, you win that and go through to the next round.
“I felt it was an important game for those reasons."
