Goals galore in high-scoring draws at Sandy Lane
SANDY Lane was the place to be on Sunday morning for all the entertainment as Darwen Rangers teams were involved in two cracking contests.
Rangers Blue Under 11s went toe to toe with Blackburn United and in the end, they could not be separated as they fought out a 2-2 draw.
Rangers twice lead through goals from Alex Noble and Charlie Campbell but on each occasion, Blackburn United fought back to earn a share of the spoils.
The draw gave Rangers their first point of the season after three games while United are currently fourth – five points off Rossendale Valley Wasps who made it three wins out of three following an 8-1 win against Blue Star Aces.
However, there was even more drama to come at Sandy Lane as Darwen Rangers Blue and Feniscowles Green Under 12s shared a 10-goal thriller in a match that ended 5-5 in the Under 12s Blue Division.
Again it was Rangers first point of the season while Blackburn Eagles Red are setting a relentless pass at the top as they kept up their 100 per cent record with a 10-1 win against Fulledge Colts Blue.
There was mixed success for Rishton United teams in action.
The U10s fought out a hard-earned draw against Huncoat 1-1 thanks to a goal from Lucas Byrom.
The U11's Red were involved in a seven goal thriller edging out Barrow ford Celtic 4-3.
And U11s Blue continued their strong start to the season with a 2-1 win against Lammack, the was also a win for the U18s as they won away at Haslingden 6-2.
The U12's went down 4-0 at Ighten Leigh and the U15s lost out 1-0 against a very strong Huncoat side who remain top of the Under 15s Red Division having won two of their three games.
Athletico Knuzden remain hot on their heels a point behind after beating Clitheroe Wolves Yellow 3-2.
In the older age group, Fulledge Colts returned to winning way, beating Darwen Rangers 6-1 to top the U18s Red Division.
