Dyche cheered as Dan is the man in beating of Brum
DANNY Ings was at the double, and Scott Arfield settled a score, to fire Burnley up to fourth and stretch their unbeaten home run to five games.
Both were involved in key moments of Saturday's derby with rivals Blackburn Rovers ending in a third straight 1-1 draw.
Both responded by playing a big part in a 3-0 win over Birmingham City last night.
“I don't go mad about mistakes, I know the honesty they've got in the group,” said manager Sean Dyche, when asked about Arfield's character after his backpass led to the equaliser at the weekend.
“I didn't have to lift him. He's on a nice little run.
“He's nicked himself an absolutely fantastic header.”
Of Ings' brace, he added: “He's young and he's learning and he has a desire to learn and improve.
“He's on a real nice and rich vein of form and he's enjoying his football.
“Sam Vokes was a good foil for him.
“And the midfield two were as good as I've seen them.”
Dyche added: “I thought it was a good performance in the second half, I wasn’t as keen in the first half.”
