Blackburn United fly to the top of the Premier Division after two wins
BLACKBURN United are the early season pace setters in the Blackburn Combination Premier Division after an impressive 4-0 win against Ivy Reserves.
Two goals from Zak Chatti and further strikes from Ishy Mulla and Zubair Ibrahim sealed victory to keep up United’s 100 per cent record as they made it two out of two.
United have now won both games this season following an opening weekend 3-1 victory against Rishton United.
But that early season form will be put to the test next weekend when they face a second-placed Wellington side who have yet to lose.
Welington came out on top in an entertaining clash with Blackburn Olympic, running out 4-3 winners having been held to a 2-2 draw by Ivy Reserves last weekend.
