Hurst Green's three match run halted in East Lancs football league

HURST Green’s three-match winning run was halted at the weekend after they were held to a 1-1 draw against Hawcoat Park in their latest Division One fixture.
The Ribble Valley side who were promoted last season have begun to find their feet at the higher level having lost their opening two games of the campaign.
Successive victories against Mill Hill St Peter’s, Bolton County and Poulton saw them climb the table but that charge was halted by Hawcoat Park following the 1-1 stalemate.
Mill Hill St Peter picked up their first point in the division this season with a gutsy 1-1 draw at Lytham Town.
In the Premier Division, Burnley United fought out a thrilling 4-4 draw with Fleetwood Hesketh as they climbed out of the bottom two.
But Longridge Town slipped to their second defeat of the season after losing 1-0 at home to Eagley.
Haslingden St Marys and Mill Hill St Peters are setting the pace in the Reserve Divisions.
The Saints drew 3-3 with Wyre Villa Reserves to stay one point clear at the top of Division One Reserves while Mill Hill St Peters made it six wins from six in Reserves Division Two with a thumping 7-2 win against Longridge.
