FULL TIME: Doncaster Rovers 2 Blackburn Rovers 0

BLACKBURN Rovers’ wait for their first win of the season goes on after they were beaten 2-0 at Doncaster Rovers.
Theo Robinson headed the hosts in front in the 38th minute, just a day after joining from Derby County, before James Husband’s cross eluded Jake Kean and found the far corner on the hour mark.
It leaves Rovers with only one point from their opening three matches of the Championship campaign.
Paul Dickov’s Doncaster, promoted from League One last season, recorded their first league victory of the campaign to leapfrog Rovers in the table.
Gary Bowyer’s side sit in 18th position ahead of today’s Championship fixtures.
Doncaster almost went ahead when Chris Brown poked just wide after latching on to Grant Hanley’s short backpass.
But Rovers similarly went close soon afterwards as Jordan Rhodes was played in and rounded Ross Turnbull before firing narrowly wide from a tight angle.
It was the hosts who took the lead as David Cotterill whipped in a free kick from the right and Robinson headed home at the near post.
Doncaster then doubled their advantage as Husband’s cross was intended for the middle of the penalty area but sailed over Kean and into the net.
