Trials will find Lancashire's next generation of darts talent
Lancashire Youth will be holding trials for the forthcoming season on Saturday week as they bid to discover the next breed of darts talent.
Any player under the age of 21 is welcome to head to the trials day, which takes place at Little Hulton’s Top Club There will be various competitions on the day as well as an opportunity to meet the current squad of players as well as the managers.
In addition to the new faces, organisers are also requesting that all current players attend.
Meanwhile, Lancashire County Darts have announced that their new home venue will be the St Thomas Sports & Social Club in Wigan.
The venue is currently the home of Wigan Men’s Super League and the county is looking forward to a long and successful future.
The previous home for the county was Bolton’s Roundhouse and the first event at St Thomas Club will be held on the weekend of September 7 and 8 when Lancashire host Cheshire County.
The Red Rose has also named the teams for the opening fixtures at the Comet Road venue and Blackburn duo Darren and Dave Place are picked in the men’s A team, while Christian Pratt, Michael Smith and Mick Whittaker are unavailable.
