Aussie amateur signs on for Immanuel

Oswaldtwistle Immanuel have announced the signing of Australian batsman Lewis Mildenhall as overseas player.
Houldsworth Solicitors Ribblesdale League clubs have the option of hiring an overseas amateur rather than a professional this term and the New Lane outfit have opted for that route having strengthened their amateur line-up over the winter with the signing of former Cherry Tree skipper Andreas Sudnik.
Mildenhall is a 24-year-old is from Victoria state and a top order batsman and also bowls medium pace.
He has played for St Kilda for the last two seasons and played for Richmond prior to that. He has scored more than 3,000 runs for St Kilda CC and Richmond CC and comes highly regarded as a talented player.
He has his cricket coaching qualifications and is also a qualified PE teacher. He will be arriving before the season, which starts on April 13.
Immanuel are also playing two friendly games on the weekend before the season, with a game at Bredon CC in Worcestershire and a game at Walsall CC on April 7.
