Dyche eyeing historic win

SEAN Dyche is ignoring talk of a player shortage at Blackburn Rovers ahead of tomorrow’s derby – believing finances have given Burnley’s East Lancashire rivals the squad to cope with injuries.

Blackburn are without 21 players for the clash with Burnley but Dyche thinks they will still be a threat.

Dyche said: “I think it’s fair to say, I looked at their squad list and I don’t think they’ll be short of numbers, I think they’ll survive, I’ve got to be honest!

“The amount of money they’ve spent, I think they’ve got capable of enough players to warrant a decent game, so I’m not over-thinking the fact that they’ve got injuries.

“People have consistently told me since I got here that we haven’t beaten them for 34 years. You want to break that and be part of history. That’s what I’ve said to the players.

“I’ve said, ‘You have the chance to go and win a game for many different reasons and one of the big ones is to be part of history, to be a team that is looked at somewhere down the line as the team that broken that run of events over 34 years’.

“The expectation will be on them to perform at home particularly, a big club from out of the Premier League. They’ve spent a fortune and bought lots of players for big money, loan players and stuff.”

A club can spend millions Dyche but it counts for nothing when you've got tragic owners and a sh1te manager who's philosophy is hoof ball defensive drivel. If this dingle team can't beat the worst, injury riddled low on confidence, clueless, spineless Rovers team for 35 years (regardless of what's been spent) they never will.

Agree. Dyche getting his excuses ready. Appleton has his ready, Burnley players full of bravado. If there were ever a time we could lose to Burnley, this is it and if they dont take the chance, they are a bigger set of muffins than the rovers players. I'm more concerned about the pts to be honest.
