Burnley midfielder Marney likely to miss Blackburn Rovers clash

DEAN Marney is expected to miss Burnley’s East Lancashire derby at Blackburn Rovers on Sunday as he continues to be sidelined by a calf problem.

Marney has missed the Clarets’ last three games and boss Sean Dyche doubts he will be fit to face Blackburn.

“Dean Marney is probably unlikely after having a bit of a setback,” Dyche said this afternoon.

“Other than that everyone is in good spirits at the moment.”

Now that's a BIG miss. I thought he might have been back for Sunday. Dean is one of the players who has put in a full shift over the past two seasons following his sluggishness when he first came. So good luck to you lad, hope you are back pdq
