Darwen gymnasts buzzing after meeting Olympian

AN Olympic Games medal winner caused a real buzz for a group of East Lancashire gymnasts.
Members of Tumble Bee’z Gymnastics Club got the chance to meet Daniel Purvis who, along with Louis Smith, was part of the men’s artistic gymnastics team that won bronze at London 2012.
The Darwen club took part in the Gymfusion NW 2013 event held at Wright Robinson College in Manchester.
The theme of the festival was Magic & Mystery and the group performed a floor and trampette routine to Queens It’s A Kinda Magic.
“Daniel was very nice and took time to speak to and be photographed with each gymnast taking part in the event.” said coach Nicola Smith “The gymnasts were very excited to meet him and had a very enjoyable day.”
