AFC Darwen will have to turn around a one-goal deficit after losing the first leg of the NWCL First Division Trophy semi final at the Anchor Ground.
Martin Pilkington scored the only goal of the game for Abbey Hey three minutes before half time.
The second leg takes place on Saturday, March 16.
