Jones completes Rovers loan move

WIGAN Athletic centre midfielder Dave Jones has signed on loan for Blackburn Rovers until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old has made 35 appearances for Wigan in 18 months, since signing from Wolves, and feared limited opportunities at the Premier League club.

Jones is expected to go straight into Rovers' squad for this afternoon's Championship visit of Peterborough.

Jones said: "I'm delighted to be here. Blackburn is a massive club. I want to come here and make an impact, so I'm really looking forward to it.

"I thought my opportunities at Wigan would be limited for the rest of the season and this chance arose so I took it."

Jones started his career at Manchester United, before moving to Derby in 2007, where he helped the Rams into the Premier League.

Another decent steady away signing. Its like a breath of fresh air round here since APPY came along. Now all we have to get rid of is the doomonger naysayer dole monkey dingles and we're sorted. T'up Rovers

Not a bad loan signing this one. I can see him doing a job in central midfield. Could do with someone to link up midfield and strikers though. It is an issue when you play a flat 4-4-2 and have poor wingers who can't beat a man and no one to hold the ball up up front.

Sorry the loan signings that have come in apart from Bently are not as good as the ones who have gone out.We are without our creative players anymore who usually got the blame for poor performances for Murphy and others who interrupted their creative rhythm.

absolutely agree and what a classic name for the scum up the road:

"doomonger naysayer dole monkey dingles"

I would put on the back of my Rovers shirt with "i hate" added - but it would cost too much money for all those letters....

A win today will help shut the DNDMD's up...

I hope jones and Stewart perform better then dj he has done nothing as of yet. But that's it we have 4 players on loan nw venkys will not let appy get any more I have to say are squad looks weaker then it did under I hate to say it but under Kean and we were scoring alot more goals with him in charge but we were leaking goals we need to find that formula we had but with a better defence come rovers a massive 3points at stake to day we should win comfortable tho COYB

Have you ever anything to say about football ? Rather than just slagging off fellow supporters because they have a different opinion to you.
It's people like you who have nothing to say that we're sick of.
Look at your posts, you're the biggest moaner of the lot.

Don't really remember too much about him, which probably doesn't say too much but hopefully we will get a chance to see what he is capable of this afternoon.

Who knows, he may be able to tackle, run and pass the ball forward! lol.

Just thought i'd say......!!!
facts and figures.....!!!

it would cost at least 35-50 M to buy BRFC,

it would cost at least 20- 30 M to get the players to achieve promotion

and
it would cost at least 40-60 M to run a decent team in premiership

and every year you'd have to spend atleast 10 -15 M to stay in Prem.

Anyone out there got that sort of money...??
Anyone know anyone with that amount
willing to invest in BRFC...?

One thing for sure No honest /real businessman would bother....!!!

hence being done with loan deals....!
