BURNLEY failed to take home advantage against travel sick Middlesbrough at Turf Moor.

The Clarets dropped to 10th following their goalless draw, against a side who had lost their previous five away games in the Championship.

Burnley have managed to take just two points from a possible 12 since the end of January.

But the play-off dream remains alive, with Sean Dyche's men still seven points off sixth place with a game in hand.

The Clarets went into last night's game without striker Danny Ings and winger Ross Wallace, after both were thought to be suffering from hamstring injuries.

The duo will undergo treatment this week in the run-up to Saturday's trip to Brighton, in the hope that they have a chance of being fit to face the Seagulls, who occupy seventh spot in the league.

Gus Poyet's side won 2-0 at leaders Cardiff City.
