A DISPLAY of imperious kicking from the trusty boot of Rob Lawless was just one of the highlights of another impressive victory for Pendle Phoenix.

A five-try romp – all converted by Lawless – saw Pendle pick up a bonus point victory.

The win sees them move up to third place, in North Lancs Two with games in hand over Ashton-under-Lyne and Thornton Cleveleys.

While a play-off place maybe just out of their grasp, Pendle are going through a real purple patch of form. Daniel Rowland dapped down the first try after racing on to kick from James Finucane.

Luke McNamee crashed over for a second and Pendle were 21-0 up by the break after Sterling Ross sprinted over to continue his try and game ratio – all three superbly converted by Lawless. Pendle made changes at the break but kept the scoreboard ticking over. Shaye McCullough scored the bonus point fourth try and while Crosby scored a converted score, Andy Dutton added a fifth try with Lawless keeping up his 100 per cent record.
