SANDYGATE Boxing Club has been busy again with two young fighters turning on the style in Manchester.
Brandon Hird, 10, and 15-year-old Charlie Martin were on the bill at Jimmy Egan ABC’s home shown at the Wythanshawe Forum, Manchester.
Brandon, from Burnley, took part in a demonstration fight against S Humphries from the host club and demonstrated just what he could do.
Brandon dominated all thee one minute rounds and forced the referee to step in a few times in the final round to underline his class.
Martin, from Nelson, was up against home favourite D Kinsella in a three, two minute round contest.
And the Sandygate fighter got better as the fight went on, ultimately forcing a standing eight count of Kinsella on his way to victory.
“Charlie and Brandon performed excellently away from home, we couldn’t ask for more from the two,” said coach Nik Tucker.
