Time to honour your East Lancashire sports stars

Nominations are now being taken for the Blackburn with Darwen annual Sports Awards which will be held at Blakeys on Thursday, April 18.
The event honours the boroughs sporting achievements during 2012 from individuals, teams, clubs and associations.
A number of winners will represent the borough in the Lancashire Sports Awards and the opportunity to be nominated to further attend the National Sports Awards later in the year.
The categories are: Coach of the Year, Young Volunteer of the Year (14-25), Senior Volunteer (25+), Community Club of the Year, Rising Star, Lifetime Achievement, Team of the Year, Official of the Year and School of the Year for sport.
Deadline for nominations is Friday, March 1.
