PADIHAM enjoyed another trip to the seaside on Saturday after they recorded a 2-0 victory over Blackpool team Squires Gate.

But they had young substitute Kenny Taylor to thank for finally unlocking the Squires Gate defence.

In a one-sided fixture, the Storks dominated from start to finish but failed to make the breakthrough in the first half.

Ben Allen headed against the crossbar while there were a number of efforts on Neil Beesley’s goal.

It was a similar story in the second half but it wasn’t until the introduction of Taylor that Padiham finally made the breakthrough.

The young winger added pace and width to the game and on 67 minutes, it was his cross that found Joe Garvin who turned the ball in to the net.

And Taylor capped a memorable cameo appearance by adding a second in stoppage time after racing clear and slotting the ball beyond Beesley.
